I began practicing the art of stand-up comedy on
February 3rd, 2004. My first show was at The Midway Cafe, in Jamaica Plain, MA. I started bartending there in November of
2003. My dear friend Jessica Casciano had been hosting an open-mic night at this fine establishment for about three years.
After her January show, I ran a couple of jokes by her. She told me I should get on stage in February. I told her I wasn't
scared of anything except that. Maybe I'd be ready by March. Well, as luck would have it, Harrison Stebbens, a Comedy Connection
regular, was present and said something like, "You pussy. If you don't do it next month, you'll never do it." He called
me a pussy, so I would either have to kick his ass or prove him wrong. Luckily for him, I was able to prove him wrong. I
have over eighty shows under my belt now. I even guest hosted one, for my pal Jessie, when she was off frolicking at South
Beach, and one at The Midway Cafe, when she couldn't make it.
